Job Description
SUMMARY: This job requires the ability to transport material to Lamination for staging and to operate entry of the Laminator using specifications and quality practices. The job also requires good team and safety skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate the T-frame and roll the doffing control panel.
• Follow run schedule.
• Locate raw materials and bring them to the range.
• Check and input raw material bow/bias when applicable.
• Inspect incoming raw material for defects, spec compliance, and proper product identification.
• Operate heat seamer or rail sewing machine for backup.
• Operate yard counter clock.
• Thread laminator from entry end to middle.
• Record raw material product information in the Jomar production log using the correct team and range.
• Operate tugger.
• Operate forklift.
• Operate scray air feed.
• Maintain proper housekeeping of designated area.
• Replace the heat seamer covering.
• Complete DTM items.
• Raw material face verification process.
• Dispose of material waste.
• Placement of roll table.
• Maintain miss doff expectations.
• Read the specification manual and reject material that does not meet spec.
• Work with the rest of the team and follow instructions from the team lead to assist in running the range.
• Load Empty T-Frames Onto Trailer.
o Make sure the trailer is backed fully to the dock.
o Check tandem is fully in the back position.
o Place tire stoppers/chucks at both wheels of the trailer.
o Place the airbrake lock onto the truck as well as the T-Box.
o Place keys to lock in the lockout box.
o Raise the loading bridge onto the trailer.
o Document how many frames by type loaded onto the trailer.
o After loading the trailer, lower the Stop sign arm to the dock.
o Make 3 copies of the BOL form and leave on the supervisor’s desk.
• Complies with all management requests.
Other requirements:
• Must comply with Company rules, including but not limited to safety, attendance, and other job specifications.
• Must submit to and pass drug screening test.
• Must conform to all Sage Automotives and Business Policies.
• Actively participate in all aspects of Sage Automotive Interiors Safety program as it applies at the plant(s) and office(s) including attending weekly subcommittee and monthly plant-wide meetings, attending plant safety audits, and submitting a monthly NETS card.
• A proven record of being dependable and reliable.
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
Education / Experience Prerequisites:
Mandatory:
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
Work hour Schedule: 6:00am – 4:00pm (Tuesday – Friday); additional overtime as needed or required; additional weekend work, and holidays as needed or required.
