Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:

Our company maintains a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drug use or possession in the workplace. Pre-employment drug screening may be conducted, and employees may be subject to random testing.
- Operates powered rewind machines to spool wire from large reels into smaller bands for use with Liner machines.
- Moves reels with lift truck. Performs own set-up and maintains necessary records.
- Relieves machine operators and other support personnel.
- Fills solvent tanks as required. This is a manual function for safety reasons.
- Works from schedule board or instructions to keep fabric stands filled with proper slit fabric.
- Winds rolls from pay-off stand to fabric stand using powered rewind reel mounted on fabric stand.
- Splices rolls with splice tape and continues until band is full.
- Repeats operation for several machines and continues loading cycles according to schedule.
- Maintains materials in proper order.
- Makes up cartons for machine operators.
- Makes up and labels cartons as required.
- Assists operators as necessary.
- Keeps simple records necessary to control fabric usage.
- Makes custom samples per specs.
- May perform relief work as assigned.
- Education: Prefer high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass licensing test.
- Experience: 3 - 6 months
- Skills: Requires lift truck licensing, knowledge and practice of safety regulations.
- Works with heavy rolls of insulation - full use of extremities
- Visual acuity to meet standards for drivers.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- Full range of motion to load insulation and sleeves to machines.
