Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery
Load raw steel material into machine and prepare for production run
Use machine equipment to complete tasks
Clear chips generated by production, transporting chips to chip crusher
Perform routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
Unload finished parts from machine and transfer to palleting system
Maintain a safe and orderly work area/keep production area swept and mopped
Perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of following blueprints and manuals
Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs
Great time management
Attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues
Nice To Have, But Not Required:
Previous experience working with machinery in a warehouse environment
Things To Consider:
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 20 to 50 lbs. (50 + lbs. with assistance)
Other physical requirements include handling, reaching, climbing, crawling, kneeling, and bending
Warehouse environment: occasionally will be exposed to loud noise, dust, and hot and cold temperatures
Must operate equipment safely and wear specific PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, etc. as deemed necessary
