Job Description
Forklift Operator
Hours: 3rd Shift weekend only B shift | 6:00pm-6:00am Saturday and Sunday only
Payrate: $17.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items
- Transport racks that contain metal to different locations within the facility
- Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency
- Secure loads to forklift before transportation
- Inspect for any damages to vehicle
- Schedule vehicle for maintenance and repairs
- Operate and manage technical equipment
- Identify workplace safety hazards
- Adhere to safety management standards
- Must operate equipment safely and wear specific PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, etc. as deemed necessary
- 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must have a good driving record
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good physical condition
- Ability to do basic math calculations
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
- Indoor and outdoor work environments: exposed to hot and cold temperatures
- Fast-paced environment, working long hours
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Heavy lifting involved
