DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will be responsible with assisting in assembly and fabrication of special machines or parts for automotive and aerospace industries.
• Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
• Taking part in product-development meetings
• Verifying dimensions and product specifications
• Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
• Marking cutting lines on material, building templates, and jigs
• Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and attached
• Ensuring that quality control standards are met
• Maintaining a production schedule
• Testing products for their functionality
• Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems or recalls
• Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Physically able with good dexterity, color vision and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) years of manufacturing experience (or equivalent vocational schooling)
• Proficient mathematical skills (using basic geometry and algebra)
• Familiar with shop measurement tools (calipers, gauge tools, etc.)
• Familiar with power hand tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills
*Able to read schematics drawings
NICE TO HAVES, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Vocational school training and certificates
Familiar with the following tools and processes: mechanical brake press, Bridgeport Mill, drill press, bandsaw, chop saw, hand drills, assembly jigs, welding.
Ability to work with engineers and cross-functional teams
One (1) years of experience in a fabrication, assembly, or machining environment (or equivalent vocational schooling)
Experience with sit-down gas forklift helpful
THINGS TO CONSIDER;
Not Climate Controlled environment
Not Guaranteed 40 hours every week
While performing these duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop or crouch. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
