Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Determines process parameters, i.e., temperatures, pressures, speeds, etc. for machines. Assures that first article inspection forms (FAIF), process set-up forms and process control forms, are established correctly and available for use at each facility for each process. Assures that document control of process specifications is maintained within each facility. Assures that preventive maintenance activities are documented and accurately performed and kept up to date. Has experience and documented skills in problem solving, troubleshooting, machine set-up, changeover, ISO9001:2000 auditing, and preventive maintenance. Travels between HTDV and Plastics facilities to perform all activities.

Education: High school diploma, with additional specialized training.
Experience: 5 years or more on the job; ISO Auditor experience preferred
Skills: Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, problem solving, equipment trouble shooting, changeovers, preventive maintenance, machine set-up, repair and replacement of machine parts, lift truck licensed.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes and/or assures that equipment settings and range of allowable adjustment is documented for each process and is available for manufacturing use at each HTDV and Plastics facility.
- Maintains updated document control of process parameter settings and machine set-ups for manufacturing use.
- Assists operators with new product set-ups or complicated set-ups and startups as requested by Management.
- Assists operators with large diameter machine changeover processes which require heavy lifting.
- Is capable of making a decision about when to request outside assistance on safe machine operation and/or state of repair.
- Coordinates major machinery repairs with maintenance.
- Provides support, as requested, to machine operators with complicated set-ups, startups and troubleshooting.
- Performs minor repair and preventive maintenance to equipment.
- Assists with difficult sample runs on machinery.
- Provides needed documentation on PM to on-site maintenance and to management, as requested.
- Operates or relieves on machines as requested.

- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended time periods.
- Requires some heavy lifting of machine parts.
- Requires a good overall working knowledge of divisional primary and support equipment.
- Requires good judgment and decision-making ability.
