Job Description

- Professional tasks
Responsible for:
- Performing routine inspections in accordance with control plans and customer requirements.
- Performing incoming inspection, including interpretation and documenting the results.
- Monitoring of the serial production through inspections, analysis, interpretation of the results and reporting to appropriate personnel.
- Providing back-up support for CMM Operators.
- Follow up on shop floor to ensure machines have proper documents and gauges in accordance with established work instructions.
- Assisting in PPAP inspections and preparing associated documents.
- Conducting random inspections on shop floor at established frequencies.
- Maintaining the blocking area in accordance with established standards.
- Coordinating with Production team on sorting and identifying suspect material.

- All health and safety requirements must be strictly observed at all times while carrying out the tasks listed above.

- Blocking of non-capable processes and defective products
- Required to inform shift supervisor of status changes
- Authorization to stop production and shipments.

- Qualification/professional experience
- High School Diploma and a minimum of two years of experience in quality inspection/methods.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft office.
- Ability to read blue prints, perform basic math calculations and interpret charts, graphs and reports.
- Capable of using various measuring devices, including micrometer, caliper, ht. gauge, etc.
