Polycore Operator
Job Description
Job Summary:
Sets up and operates polyester core hose making equipment for HVAC applications.
Essential Functions:
Performs a normal range of duties to operate mechanical equipment to produce various sizes of wire reinforced air ducts. Works from prints, instructions or specifications.
Performs all set-ups. Changes mandrels, loads materials, monitors controls and makes adjustments within specified tolerances.
Makes boxes, applies labels and packs product. Loads and moves materials as necessary.
Secondary Duties:
Records time, quality and production data.
Monitors work for quality control. Performs frequent inspections for quality control
Reports machine wear and defects beyond set-up skill level.
Coordinates major repairs with maintenance.
