Mixer
Position Summary
The Mixer Operator is responsible for accurately combining dry and liquid ingredients according to recipes, ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with company standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Shifts Available: 2nd and 3rd shift
• Must be available to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
• Overtime and weekend work may be required
Key Responsibilities
• Enter completed batches in Plex and update inventory records.
• Inspect, clean, and prepare all raw material containers.
• Lift, dump, and mix dry and liquid ingredients into mixer and dump station.
• Follow recipes accurately and monitor viscosity and quality.
• Troubleshoot mixing issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all food safety policies, including SQF, GMPs, SOPs, and HACCP.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Physical & Work Requirements
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and climbing.
• Work in hot conditions with possible exposure to dust, wet floors, and occasional fumes.
• Compliance with PPE and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
• Effective oral communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable with consistent attendance and willingness to work overtime/weekends.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills; computer proficiency to use Plex.
• Moderate mechanical aptitude and ability to operate mixing equipment safely.
