Job Description
SHIFT: 1st Shift: 8 am – 5 pm - Mon - Fri
PAY RATE: $17 /hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Counts problem items on regular scheduled cycle counts and items identified as having inventory discrepancies thru user intervention.
Wraps packages or inspects wrapping for conformance to company standards.
Unpacks incoming shipments.
Receives materials and verifies correctness of shipments against bill of lading or other records.
Scans product to verify quantity, product item, prepare invoices and shipping labels.
Loads and unloads merchandise onto or off of trailers using hand trucks, forklifts and manual methods.
Examines and compares merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defects, and date on invoice or other forms.
Sorts, secures and counts prescanned totes and cases for assigned route.
Sorts and places items on racks, shelves, or a-frame according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product code.
Interacts with "vocollect" (voice directed talkman) to fill shipping orders.
Pulls items in specified quantities from shelves at or above expected productivity levels and verbally verifies that correct items are picked with correct count ensuring an accuracy rate at or above expected levels.
Utilizes gladiator (handheld locating device) to locate specific case locations.
Rotates stock according to expiration date to ensure FIFO compliance.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software.
