Job Overview

Under the direction of supervision (i.e. supervisor and/or team leader), the production operator is responsible for changeovers, operating, packing, loading and preparing assigned equipment and machinery for use to meet production schedules. Shift lengths may vary from 8 to 12 hours depending on assigned area.

Starting pay $17.00 per hour.
Schedule is a 12hr shift 7am to 7pm (a 2 2 3 schedule).

Specific Responsibilities

· Properly changeover, disassemble, clean, reassemble and operate all production related equipment in the assigned department in a safe and efficient manner

· Operation of necessary machinery related to the job classification including documentation of the processing steps in the batch record and/or other necessary paperwork (i.e. initial setup, raw material usage, quality/weight checks and finished product quantity)

· Setup, operating, adjusting Softgel equipment for each batch formulation.

· Responsible for breaking down, cleaning, tooling, setting up and preparing solutions for (if required) equipment.

· Troubleshooting and monitoring equipment: hand tools, viscosity meters, pneumatic equipment, Soft Gel machines, part washers, hoppers, and solution tanks

· Utilize Mettler moisture analyzers to perform moisture checks on core products

· Must adhere to work instructions to ensure consistent material is generated per customer specifications are achieved in a safe, effective and efficient manner

· Utilize company ERP systems (Oracle, IWMS, MES) for inventory transactions, scanning, label creation, verifying additions to batch records and data entry

· May use (but not limited to) power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment (i.e. electric jacks, sit down, stand ups, and cherry picker forklifts for applicable area(s))

· Monitor and adjust machine parameters in specification to maintain finish product quality and ensure proper machine operation

· Ensure that codes/lots and finished products are not mixed

· Removal and reconciliation of excess and unused materials

· Perform calibrations as necessary to keep all parameters in specification

· Perform routine preventative maintenance: Routine clean-up during operation, quick clean between lots, and full clean when required

Starting pay $18.50 per hour.
Schedule is a 12hr shift 7PM to 7AM (a 2 2 3 schedule).

Under the direction of supervision (i.e. supervisor and/or team leader). The operator performs job tasks and in process quality checks at established intervals. Operator will operate the End of Line Vision system and monitor flow of product that passes through the vision system. The End of Line Vision System determines specification rejects and sorts the rejects from the finished product. Operator verifies the finished product for good quality and the product is then bulk packed and placed on a skid.

Specific Responsibilities

· Adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

· Follow batch record instructions

· Write legibly on all documents within the batch record

· Perform all required quality checks at established intervals and complete all required documentation

· Utilize Mettler moisture analyzer and Hardness Test analyzer as required by the batch record (quality check intervals)

· Perform in process task requirements, Encapsulation Towel Procedure and Clean Glove Method Process

· Lift totes or boxes to build full skid. Requires lifting up to 40lbs

· Perform line clearance cleaning. Requires step ladder, lifting parts, bending, and use of 99% IPA (alcohol)

· Ensure production codes/lots are not mixed to prevent cross-contamination

· Accumulate all rejects and place in appropriate container for accountability

· Ensure finished product meets the acceptable quality level (AQL) limits to maintain quality and integrity of the finished product

· Maintain clean work environment at all times, including and not limited to hygiene practices
